Basic Electronic Tutorial

This tutorial has been written taking into account the newbies and for people who may want to freshen up their knowledge. Many more tutorials will be added to this section.

Electronics:

                    The word 'Electronics' is derived from two words 'Electron' and 'Mechanics'. It is the study of behavior of an electron under different conditions of externally applied fields.
The field of electronics consists of the study and the use of systems which are operated by controlling the flow of electrons.

Basic Electronic Components:

                    An electronic circuit consists of some basic electronic components.These components are divided into active and passive depending on the work done by these components.

Passive Components:

                    Passive components are not capable of amplifying or processing any electrical signals. It does not have any controlling mechanism. You can say that they have no "inteligence".

The basic passive components are:
1. Registers
2. Capacitors
3. Inductors

Active Components:

                    Active components are capable of amplifying and processing electrical signals.They are capable of controlling voltages or currents and can create a switching action in the circuit. In other words the are intelligent devices.

The basic active devices are:
1. Semiconductor devices
2. Integrated Circuits
